#Stop villagers from removing our materials from workstations!

The single most annoying part about this game is that the villagers keep emptying the work stations of all items, regardless of whether we ourselves put them in there or whether there is a job queued that requires these items. Please, for the love of all that is good, let us have a special place in the workstation that is locked or private where we can store the materials for our personal jobs. I spend more time fighting the workers who seem obsessed with removing items that I, as the player, put in there. It is simply remarkable that this game has been in development for years, with hundreds of complaints about this one single issue, and yet we are still struggling to keep materials in our workstations.

Workbench inventories are designed to be for the villagers assigned to craft at them though. Two solutions for this (that we use) is to either keep the materials in our inventories or place down an extra workbench, rename it with "-private" at the end and disable the structure priority 🙂

Thank you for the tips, but I don't really think creating a new toolmaker building is the best solution. If there was a private area for our materials then there wouldn't be a problem. If we're trying to repair a lot of items then it seems odd that we have to do them one at a time, because we can't hold enough, when there's a storage area for all the raw materials needed to do a batch repair right there in the workstation. Your solution may be the best option for now so I may end up creating duplicate toolmakers and weaver huts just so I don't have to deal with this issue.
