If the player defeats the bandits in the ruins before getting the quest, Brisco stays in the place and the player needs to go back there.
The player should be able to free Brisco Linton, and the quest giver should just thank and reward the player on the next interaction.
Or Brisco could tell the player to look for the quest giver to get a reward.
Even though the door is open he will not go out.
Talking with him before getting the quest only has the option to say "Bye".
#The quest: "Burning Stove, part 2" Talk to Brisco Linton.

I 100% second this.
Also: For me the whole questline broke. By accident I entered bruning stove 2 first, bc. I needed to clear the camp (for building/outpost). Same for the outpost for Burning Stove 3. In both cases I spoke with the prisoners. End of the story: I can't recruit the prisoner from burning stove 3 any more: the prison is gone with the bandit camp and the quests somehow jumped to "Bloody prisoner".
...it's sad to lose one of the good quest NPCs esp. when you planned with them... shouldn't have talked to the prisoners, or at least have made saves...
Hey, @vestal hornet yeah thanks for advise, we will look into that quest.
@tardy snow i re checked the quest. Its impossible for Belinda to disapear. U still can go to that camp and recruit her. Only camp is disapearing
Ohw: as always you were 100% right! I
