I've been testing the Longbow, Yew Bow and the Crossbow (got 10str 9 agi 10 archery). I really like the balance on the Longbow. The draw weight of 150lbs is very reasonable, especially looking into chronicles from the medieval period. 6STR and 7 Agi requirements make sense now vs the crossbow. I would suggest 8STR assuming that 180lbs draw weight bow would be an absolute limit, those could be 10STR req.
Aiming with the longbow makes sense; 1-2sec and it starts deviating, it also takes longer to pull! Great!
On the other hand, the Yew bow has no STR req. as of yet? The aiming deviation feels the same as with the longbow. It doesn't make sense. Holding/lifting/pulling weights way under your maximum is easy. The more STR vs req. STR of the bow, the less deviation there should be while holding the aim.
Than there are the crossbows, STR req. seem very reasonable for the draw weights. The aim deviation does not. It should be it's party piece... long to load, easy to aim. Right now at 10 archery it feels a bit like having Parkinson's disease.
Suggestion I would have:
Why not to use archery skill and str instead of STR and AGI? AGI doesn't even have a single line saying anything about shooting.
It would be great to introduce Fatigue mechanics where every consecutive shot would be harder and harder to pull. Just like with weight lifting at gym, first lift is easy, last one is impossible. Wait 10 minutes and can lift again....
