so all my saves were from the steam cloud

I wasn't able to reproduce the crash, either on the preview branch or on our internal one. That makes things a bit tricky.
Could you try loading this save? It's just your save, but two days later. And see if it still crashes for you.

especially when we can't reproduce crash from save file (like in this case)

usually most convenient is to zip the entire Saved folder - that way we definitely get everything needed
