  • It would be nice to be able to assign villagers to specific buildings, e.g. if I wanted someone to only work at the Logging Camp, Pit Saw, and (idk) Mining Camp, I could assign the person to those particular buildings. In addition to general organization, it might also be helpful for things like "Hey this mining camp is near an area that tends to spawn a lot of wolves so I only want well-equipped villagers working there."

  • It seems that for very large buildings, what seem like relatively minor variations in terrain grade can prevent or severely restrict placing them. Perhaps there could be some way to flatten terrain? Placing a building site on not-entirely-even-but-not-unsalvageable terrain, but it requires grading the terrain with a shovel before you can begin construction?

  • It would be great to be able to view my villagers' inventories without having to find and talk to them.

  • Just in the sense of immersion, I'd love to see NPCs in "AI villages" (i.e. places like Haerndean) have more logical behavior, e.g. farmers spending the day tending fields or animals, rather than everyone just wandering aimlessly everywhere.

  • Would be nice to have some kind of "village menu" to view the NPCs in the village and what their stats are, to make recruiting a little less tedious.

  • This might be a big ask at this point, but still: Would really like to see characters working on crafting jobs have animations that actually reflect what they're doing, rather than just "fiddle with their hands for 45 seconds a voila, the wheat has magically been threshed into straw*. Would make everything feel loads more authentic and immersive.

  • Would appreciate seeing what the crafting/construction cost of something is before I research it.

  • Similarly, would like to see what certain techs do without having to research their immediate prerequisite (vs. just "Not Yet Discovered")

  • Crossbows at some point maybe? Slower reloading but more stable firing / less stamina-draining to aim?

  • Ability to build roads, or at least paths or something throughout your own settlement.

  • Fences/walls that follow the contour of the terrain instead of being places in perfectly horizontal chunks

  • More fence/wall options in general. Tall wood fence? Low stone wall (similar to what is often found along roads)? Stake palisade?

  • Fence gates / wall gatehouses?

  • Orchards for things like fruit trees?

  • Some general "terrain clearing" option to get rid of random aesthetically displeasing scrub brush

  • One-handed spears (for spear/shield soldiers); two-handed polearms in general

  • Possibility of livestock (chickens for eggs and feathers, goats for milk, etc.)

  1. There are tools to get you to this point. I understand the management bit isn't everyone's cup of tea and maybe we'll have different settings in the future. But for now, the management and task prioritization part is a pretty big part of the game loop. We had a similar system to this in previous iterations before release and it was missing a bit of the "game" part.

  2. Yeah, it's not ideal. Definitely something that aggravates us. Not straightforward to fix.

  3. Agree. Something I've been crying about internally for months, Nay YEARS at this point. =P We'll get there.

  4. Yeah, this is something we're focusing on now actually and hope to make some big improvements there.

  5. Same as above.

  6. Same as above.

  7. Same as #3.

  8. Same as above.

  9. Could be cool. Would be straightforward, but not likely a priority at this point. Adding weapons of all types is definitely something we want to do, but probably later on down the line.

10, 11, 12. Definitely, will take some time.

  1. Sounds cool, not easy to achieve.

  2. Should be a lot better in the next major update. No timeframe though.

  3. Answered in 9.

  4. Animal husbandry is definitely a priority.
