I feel while you are mining a rock regardless what it is, it`s fairly frustrating when u barely get an ore. I mined 3 tin rocks got 10 tin 13 rock and my pick was a few hits from being broken. I feel unless its iron i ignore mining rocks and just harvest them from the ground. But when they run out im stuck spending days just collecting a few ores.

In the first few hours I also struggled with mining. As player it feels annoying and inefficient. But as soon as I used my NPCs I was drowning in ore. Best way is to setup an outpost with daily delivery - I get 50 to 100 ore per outpost per day.
