NPCs seem to drop tools outside of huts/buildings instead of returning tools to them. Lumber mill seems to be a big one. They leave axes outside of the hut on the ground. Also randomly drop items in front of storage buildings, or walk up to other buildings like charcoal building and just drop items instead of putting them in. Storages are not full in any of these. They just grab some items out.. drop them after standing for a bit and walk away.

Hello, please send a save where that issue happens, I personally tried to reproduce that today and no luck so far.
Also, please check if re-equipping the NPC's bag helps. There was an issue that NPCs had invisible items in the bag than has been fixed some time ago, however if the bag has been equipped before the fix it still needs re-equipping.

How do I get to my save folder?

  1. Open 'Run' through the Windows Start Menu and paste the above link
  2. Press 'WIN + R' on your keyboard and paste the above link
  3. Open 'File Explorer' and paste the above link into the address bar

Zipping the folder

  1. Right click on the folder named 'Saved'
  2. Select 'Send To' -> 'Compressed (zipped) folder'
    This will generate a zip file you can then upload

Uploading the zip file

  1. Drag and drop your zip file into Discord
    OR
  2. Use Discord's 'Upload a File' to upload the zip file

For me: It happens with the hammer to build. In fromt of a t3 storage. After i build a weaponrack, then it works.

With no weaponrack, there a unable to put it in the storage.

its weird how they drop items, but from my experience there will be some worker later that will pick it up and put it in the storage(or uses it to do work)
