When in a co-op game and a player requests an npc to follow them, the npc instead follows and assists the host of the game. Tried posting this on your bug reporting tool but that tool seems broken atm. screenshot enclosed.

Make different squads. The NPCs can follow either player. But you can make different squads and allow yourselves to each control different squads.

Squads can be cycled through by middle mouse button. To make squads use the "Army" tab.
