Overall: Game is nice. It needs some AI improvements, some balance etc
But one by one.

I dont care, If bandits etc straight run into your face. I dont mind cows, chicken etc running arround far away (because of bandit/wolf attacks on the village)
But the village aspect I compare with RimWorld and there Bellwright need some more love.
Sometimes NPCs just dont do anything. They drop their tools on the floor, they waste peat, wood and meat, they get stuck on traps and stuff etc
Ideas to fix some of the stuff:
Make smoking, grilling and smelting etc a "fulltime job" and sligthly faster. And reduce the max amount of wood/peat etc to 2 or even 1.
Yes, it costs you one villager per task, but I would take that 100 times instead them throwing 4 wood into the fire to cook 1 meat. And they wouldnt burn/"forget about" about during the night or other jobs. Its super frustrating, when you hunt and sometimes 80% ending up as fertilizer or in the outhouse.
And please increase the "life span" of food a bit. It would be nice, when it rots slower and gives a little bit more food/buff time. Both +20% time would be amazing already. -
Sliders and options are always nice
Sliders and options make any game better. No matter the game or the genre. In Bellwright, it would be nice to have some sliders like:
- Day lenght and how many days per "year" (and how many days per winter, to make the game a bit harder for those who want?)
- Reputation gain
- Resources per yield
- Renown
Boob slider- Limited or infinite resources
- Dmg/HP of enemies (nothing too crazy, maybe max -25% and up to +50%)
- "The Padstow Syndrome"
The progress from start to the first belltower in the first village feels smooth.
Then comes Padstow. I dont know If we had bugs in the 2 coop savegames, but we were at 300~ of 1.200 reputation and no more quests in Padstow. Not even one. For 50+ days. It cant be right, that you need 30 old coins or 240 wolf fangs.
