I have 500 wheat 400 garlic and 400 cranberries. It would be nice to stop the slaves from collecting past a certain amount so I don't have to endlessly build more storage.

You can 'specify amount' in both the stockpiles and the jobs themselves can be set to 'top up' if using the forager and simply restrict other storages if using a farm (they will leave the excess inside the farm)

Yeah you're right that is a current solution. But it involves sorting out each and every stockpile/barn to prevent overproduction. Setting a maximum on a forager or farm just seems more intuitive/simple.

Nah, stockpile filters are there for a reason ☺️ Once you set them, job done

set up barns and stockpiles having a chest/stockpile which only allows for spoiled next to the compost heap in the whole village, it may be a bit tedious but it does work.

Yeah, but the stockpile limit doesn’t stop them from wasting time making/collecting the items. It only stops them from storing it.

We're talking about farms, they will leave the items in the farm until there is room to store them 😄

Having a "Only" button would be a great addition, allowing you zero out all other storages without having to check every single one:

That's what i do at kleast. works great (except for deliveries, but that's a whole other mess LOL)

Well, if you set your stockpile like I have. I still need to go all the other stockpiles that are taking in resources and making sure all of these products are clicked off

If I miss one, then woops, I now have 795 flax choking a stockpile

By default when I make a stockpile, EVERY THING off 😄

So having some sort of button that says, this is the only stockpile where I want this particular product will help greatly.

Yeah, it would be really nice to configure a stockpile before it is built, but yeah, all off is the way to go for sure.

I mean, mthats the mechanic in the game right. Turn it all off when you build it, then allow what you want. Makes sense at least

Make sure your other stockpiles have priority 4. new stockpile will have 5
