I am finished with tier 1 and have nothing else to do I have just been afk here for 5 hours waiting for this to make, I could build a home quicker in real life.

Get a villager to do it, they can also place multiple of those "nodes" at once.
it's genuinely 3-4x quicker to have them do it. I wanted to do the same thing and make it myself until i realised that the villagers place like 4 boards at once

Yes, I realised about 10% in it was better to get villagers to do it but I'm the kinda guy once I started..

Scratch that, I think I just missed a dot, or at least as soon as I gave a worker a hammer they went straight to it and completed it

Just have 2-3 hammers in storage and if you really want to rush construction, prioritise a couple villagers on construction
