Probably am gonna be the only person suggesting this but god i would love a festival or clone hero gamepad mode style option. It just doesn’t feel right using dpad to strum on controller lol, makes it hard to focus on the notes 🙂

For now a lot of people have been using the All Taps modifier, we do plan on adding a proper gamepad mode to make it easier to setup and play

there's already taps, but i think he's talking about lift notes
normally it will just be all taps, but if your playing a part that has a lot of strumming, they also use lift notes.
mainly to prevent everyone from becoming a jackhammer on a keyboard...
the thing is, the chart itself would most likely have to change tho because festival's main control scheme is supposed to be 2 thumbs only, (right left) are never pressed together as well as ( X Y B)
lift notes can also be used as tap notes but is usally stricter if done that way (engine jank)

a PROPER gamepad mode is planned, most likely based on GH3 as opposed to Festival (same as CH pre-revamp, at the very least), but afaik it's unscheduled (not planned for any specific release)
