#Possible to combine an individual guitar chart and drum chart into the one song?

Currently have two separate charts for The Violence by Rise Against, however ones guitar only and the others drum only. I know its not a big deal just to switch between the two, but is there a simple way to combine the two in the one folder? might be handy for future references too

copying the notes from one track via moonscraper and then pasting it into the other song works

cobalt roost
#

haven't dealt with moonscraper before but that sounds simple enough, right?

gritty rampart
#

should be, just Ctrl+A on the track, open the other song and paste where the first note will start in the song

#

Ctrl+C too to copy it obv

#

sounds good, my appreciation amigo

I was able to merge it and time it, but i'm not sure how to save/export it properly

gritty rampart
#

Ctrl+S is fine

cobalt roost
#

Do I just use the .chart file now? there's two other song files, I think they're the older ones

gritty rampart
#

use the one you saved it on, so the second one

cobalt roost
#

thats' what i mean, its in the one folder now but there's three song file types, the .ini, .chart and .opus

#

ctrl S generated the .chart, so I'm wondering if the .ini and .opus is now redundant

gritty rampart
#

uhhhhhh opus is the audio right?

cobalt roost
#

ya, when booting up yarg w/ a fresh scan it still plays it like the old single chart

gritty rampart
#

hmmmm and im assuming the reduntant file is not in the song folder?

cobalt roost
#

I think I might not have saved it properly perhaps? ctrl S generated the .msce file in the folder, not a .chart

gritty rampart
#

ohhhhh msce

#

ok so you load that into MS and export it

#

and it should come out as a .chart

cobalt roost
#

just call it song or something or doesnt matter?

gritty rampart
#

notes.chart

cobalt roost
#

export into same folder?

#

or generate a new

gritty rampart
#

same folder, unless you want to move the ini and audio into it

cobalt roost
#

generate a new ini or keep the old?

gritty rampart
#

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ur choice

cobalt roost
#

alrighty, there's two notes files now, the moonscraper one and the old one

#

i'd imagine delete the older one

gritty rampart
#

make sure the combined one works first

#

that way if it doesnt work somehow you still have that to work with

cobalt roost
#

ya the moonscraper chart file looks fine

#

however yarg no longer recognizes it in the file scan now

gritty rampart
#

can you recap whats in that folder

cobalt roost
#

album, crowd, notes.chart, song.config, song.opus

gritty rampart
#

song.config.... Moonscraper makes song.ini ones so unsure if thats the issue

cobalt roost
#

guess I can just try re-generating the file?

#

or re-exporting with a new .ini

gritty rampart
#

yeh

cobalt roost
#

typo on the .config, it is a .ini its just put the full name as configuration settings

gritty rampart
#

o

cobalt roost
#

so it was recognized afterall, but i must have forgotton to name it somewhere because it just says its an unknown name and title, but besides that it works

gritty rampart
#

oh thats a relief then

cobalt roost
#

honestly it was probably actually all good from the start and i just didnt pay attention to the naming and titling of it so I didnt see it in the list when i typed by name

#

wasnt use to the program

#

Where abouts are the options for labelling the difficulty on the tracks? like 2 for drums, 2 for guitar etc

#

I can label it on the song properties, but not sure how to get it to reflect how the yarg UI displays it

gritty rampart
#

thats in the ini file right

cobalt roost
#

naw the ini file doesnt seem to show it

gritty rampart
#

oh it do

cobalt roost
#

Oh, I didn't have those lines I'll just make em

gritty rampart
#

did you click Add CH Tags

cobalt roost
#

Negative

gritty rampart
#

that adds them

#

you just need to give it a number at the appropriate line

#

where the drums is
