I think the main issue here is the increased tackle radius from the skill tree... But it does feel rather easy to be tackled, or to land tackles on people who have predictable dodge patterns. (I also could be wrong, but if this is only with chasers and not beater, then I would say it's the chaser skill tree)

Well the problem is how a tackle is registered. It's almost better to tackle around someone and not through them. Confirmed tackles work maybe 15% of the time, going straight through them barely works. Sometimes I have better luck getting steals I know I shouldn't get but the game allows it
