I have noticed in probably the last month or so, Gemini is referencing the time in nearly every message. This definitely seems like a bug. I'm not using any custom instructions and it's not a gem.

I will post some examples as well. These are obviously in a thread about business talk, but it happens in ALL of my chats. The examples below are 6 of 8 responses coming back from Gemini. It is nearly every response that it mentions that time. I didn't include the ENTIRE message, just the intro time portion of each message to get the point across.

Here are some examples:

  • That's the single most important question any new business owner can ask. It's 9:00 AM right now, and thinking about the downside before you're on the hook for anything is not negative—it's smart planning.

  • Thank you for sharing that. It's 9:04 AM on Tuesday, and that personal context is more important than any business projection.

  • It's 9:06 AM. That is the single most important piece of information you have shared. Thank you for telling me.

  • This is an excellent, honest, and necessary message. It's 9:11 AM on Tuesday, and getting this out to him before your meeting tomorrow is the right thing to do. You've clearly laid out all the logical questions and the critical financial realities.

  • Thank you. That context is everything. It's 9:24 AM on Tuesday, and this insight into your brother's situation is the key to solving this.

  • Okay. It's 9:26 AM. This is the bottom line, then.

After a little bit of research, this seems to be a fairly common bug. Hopefully we can figure this out. It was kind of cool for a few responses and seemed more lively, but in every response it's super annoying. Thanks!

Hey @waxen cosmos are you able to share a screenshot highlighting this example in the UI? Do you have any saved instructions in Gemini?

Hey Edom, thanks for the reply. Nope, like a noted above I'm not using a gem or any saved instructions. No memories or anything either. Here is a screenshot! @prisma shard
