#Unable to edit some prompts in Gemini Web

Hello,

Steps to reproduce

It's kinda random but:

  1. Open Gemini Web in Chrome Android. Make a new conversation, chat a little bit
  2. Wait a few hours or at worst days without touching the conversation.

What's expected

You can edit the prompt or generate a new draft.

What happens instead

In Gemini Web on Chrome Android:

  • If you try to edit, you get the error Something went wrong, try again.
  • If you try to generate a new draft, you get also the error Something went wrong, try again.

If you edit the same conversation or generate new drafts on Gemini Android app on the same device and network, it works.

How to fix it?

Send a new message in the conversation on the Web. Then you can edit again/generate new drafts.

What special steps I tried

  • Open Gemini Web in incognito. I believe when I can't edit in normal browsing mode, I can't in incognito either.
  • Clear cookies of Gemini Web
