My brother thinks everything will be handed to him that he can tell people rude and mean things and not go to school and not work and just be fine. He thinks he’ll be happy if he just thinks he’s happy and that I hate him since I ask him why and how when he says these things. And it hurts since I love him and want him to succeed but he sees me as someone who hates him and is trying to make him feel bad.

Maybe you just need to be honest with him, tell him you have a different outlook on life, and that you're concerned that his attitude and behaviors will come back and bite him some day?
I mean I'd love to not have gone to school, and not go to work... but unless I want to live under a bridge or something, that's not going to fly in today's society. So I endured school, and did the next best thing afterwards, which was to get myself into a line of work that I'm good at and that I (mostly) enjoy.
Also, being rude and mean to people will bite him in the 🍑 eventually. Sooner or later he'll be rude to someone with power (whether it be physical, monetary, social), and they will use that against him.
