This isnt that much of a vent about me, but people at my school treat my trans boyfriend like absolute shit. Even the teachers, the ones supposed to be a “trusted adult” act differently towards him. I seriously seen him in dangerous situations within my (religious) school and i couldn’t get to him as 1200+ students are crowding around. I genuinely worry about him sometimes because this school does not take action on homophobia and transphobia as seriously (or at all) as other issues (racism, sexism, ableism, etc) I hate religious schools so much.

I’m trans myself and I face a lot of this too. I’m sorry for how people treat your boyfriend, and hope well for you both. Honestly, I don’t get the discrimination. People just want to be themselves and the last thing we want is people to nag us on that. It makes feel at home and comfortable with ourselves. This treatment isn’t fair to any of us, your boyfriend and many others are people too
