hey man. you aren't dumb just because you have ADHD. maybe you have some troubles because of it, but it doesn't make you dumber or less likeable, and if some people think otherwise, they're the dumbass! I'm sorry that your friend of six whole years was a homophobe. it's hard to lose people you've known & loved for so long especially for reasons like that. this world is cruel!!! so cruel! I really agree with you! but I promise you will find your people. there's always somebody out there for everybody, and other people aren't all life is! try focusing more on your hobbies, interests, etc. that doesn't mean I'm telling you to not make friends but I'm just saying, look towards the things that make you happy just a little more. it sounds kind of weird when I say it like this, but when there's no one to speak to me I speak to myself, and it's a pretty ok coping mechanism when I feel lonely and it's stimulating for me. I really understand you though. I sadly have very, very few friends as well.
