How do I come out as transgender ftm to my parents.

Read the title. My parents aren't homophobic, but I'm not sure if they take trans people seriously. And also I'm really fucking scared they will tell other people by accident.
Coming out to my friends is a whole other category (but sometimes they joke about me being a trans boy, even if they don't really know it's actually true)

Im scared to come out to my parents that im trans FtM because my uncle is severely Transphobic and my parents dont fully support my choices. Its actually gotten so bad that I dont think i could ever tell them...

Come out to the most supportive people first, that will help you for the upcoming events (sry english is not my 1st language i'm unsure of this "upcoming events" word).
Because if u find people that support you, they'll find ideas, u can speak to them, of ur emotions. To come out to ur parents, u can act like a boy or something. To see if they conservative on "girl must act like a girl" yk all this stuff.
After all of that the coming out will be easier to imagine and do.

I already act like a "typical boy" around my parents, but they probably think that's normal bcs I grew up with an older brother. I just don't think they could ever see me as anything other than a girl.

Maybe try telling them a classmate or a character or someone is trans and see if they take it seriously, if they'll respect the trans identity or not

i don't think its great to tell them otherwise they would say "you just wanna be like ur friends" but in this case OP wants to be taken seriously

Yeah, but either that or bringing up trans topics is one of the best ways to see if their parents accept trans people in the first place
And if they're accepting they'd never say fafnir wants to be like his friends, if they're not then it's better to not come out

i just meant to say pointing at others is really bad

But the way i came out was kinda crazy my parents caught me in the city and 2 months later i started with hormones 😂
