How would I come out to my parents if I were to become trans

Hello, I'm here to ask a question regarding my parents. Back in 2024, I had thoughts of wanting to become a trans person (I'm AMAB mind you so it would be MtF in this case). However, my parents were against it as "I didn't have a job and I don't really do anything for them around the house", so that plan failed miserably. It's 2026 now and I have a job, so how would this change now?

Another thing to note is that my mother thinks I'm "affecting my body in a bad way" if I tell her what HRT is, which I find hard to believe, but I wanna hear your thoughts.

Not that I know of, my dad's insurance that he gets from work won't really cover for it

I come from a family who unfortunately favors that one absolute fucking asshole of a "president" so I'm not sure if coming out to them would be easy, I know my mom is somewhat supportive despite her telling me about the supposed risks of it, but everyone else? I'm not too sure.

to clarify are they just against you transitioning medically and are fine with you socially transitioning or are they against you transitioning both socially and medically?

if you’re over 18 and paying for it yourself, then you don’t need their permission to start HRT

If you think they might kick you out though however then either don’t or make sure to hide it from them

I apologize for the late ass reply, but my mother once mentioned to me that it could "affect your mind in a bad way and can affect you if you're not careful enough with HRT", which to be fair I don't get what the hell she's talking about, and I don't think that I've gotten a single comment from them saying that they would effectively kick me out of the house if I do go through with it
