(This is not my situation, but my friend’s)

This all started back in October, when I got a letter from a friend (I’m going to call her Mara), saying she would ||kill herself|| in a few days. I told the counselors at our school, and she survived and got therapy.

Later, Mara told me that the reason she wanted to end things was because her grandparents were physically and emotionally abusing her, and she couldn’t do anything about it because 1. they are the owners of a local business that does a lot of community service things, so even if her story got out nobody would believe it ( also they have a LOT of money) and 2. Her parents didn’t care and were mad at her for it.

I knew it would end badly from the start, but four months go by and nothing happens.

Now, she is being cheated on ( her gf is dating 5 people), she can’t come out otherwise her parents will disown her ( i wish I was joking), and she says i’m the only person who she actually cares about, and she’ll kill herself if her gf breaks up with her. She’s dealing with trauma so bad that if i go to hug her, she jumps back and throws her hands up. Therapy isn’t helping and I feel powerless to do anything.

i dont really know how to help but since no one has replied i would report it to the police and have a little evidence and if that doesnt work i would spread it not the killing part but like the abuse i dont really know if thats a bad idea or not but spreading it might get the teacher then the police or something im not the best but im willing to help you

Yes but one she says that if it ends she’ll kill herself and two the person she’s dating will probably do something bad to her if mara breaks up on her terms

The thing is that the people who are abusing her have a lot of money and power so they will probably buy their way out.

I would 100% either go to the school about the abuse or the police

And about the other parts I would definitely try going to the school.
