If you really wanna maybe do it if and when you can go somewhere else if things go bad.
Sometimes parents aren’t really ready to face the possibility that their kids are LGBTQIA+. If you want to come out, these two things might be helpful:
- A safe place to go/stay (this can be a friend’s house to confide in. Doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be kicked out or anything.)
- If things don’t go the way you wish, it may be helpful to find local or online queer support groups (like this server)
