It all started last week. In a group chat, Friend 1 said something Friend 2 misunderstood and got angry, so he started joking with something Friend 1 previously told him she didn't like, so Friend 1 got angry and went out of the group. Friend 3 talked and told Friend 2 he was out of line with that joke, but instead of stopping, Friend 2 insulted Friend 3 with something that was very sensitive for him, and then Friend 2 went out of the group too. Like that wasn't enough, Friend 2 started insulting Friend 1 and Friend 3 by DMs, saying he hated them and more. Now Friend 1 and Friend 3 don't want to see Friend 2 ever again. And even despite I was told Friend 2 apologized to Friend 3, he doesn't want to be his friend again.
Now, this situation is weird for me. I won't deny I was disappointed with how Friend 2 reacted, but I still consider him my friend and I care about him. As I mentioned, this was a week ago. In that week, I have talked to him like 3 times (he started all conversations) and I don't know how to approach to him. Is there any little step I can do to show him I still care and I'm not in the "I don't want to see you ever again" team? Btw, Friend 1 and Friend 3 are okay, I talk with them more often and they just needed a few days to recover.
