If it threatens your safety, you shouldn’t come out to him at all to be honest. You don’t need to tell people who would hurt you over it.

Your safety is paramount. Anything that would implicate are result in harm is out of the question. Unfortunately, there are times a parent is a dud. I do hope that you can come out safely in the future, but I would not advise doing so before then.
