I want to come out as trans to my family, but even though I'm in a family that is fully supportive of anything LGBTQ+, I'm still nervous about what could happen from me coming out. It doesn't help that my family is currently deciding between moving to New York or Alabama later this year (notoriously bad laws in terms of trans rights), so I'd like to come out sooner rather than later to hopefully influence that decision. I do have savings if I have to be on my own. I can tell my mental health would also heavily improve if I'm able to live as my true self. How do I get rid of the anxiety and come out?

I also have those feelings so what I would do is find 1 person in your family who you can tell then ask them to tell the others so you only do it once to to lots of people which can be scary
I came up with a basic plan. I'll probably tell my mom first, and I'll do so by taking a day I'm off and she is working to clean the whole house, and either make or get a nice dinner, to ensure the overall atmosphere is good. Then after dinner, have the talk. Thank you for the response!
