My friends, who are all part of the LGBTQ+ community, started being rude abt the term I go by, which is Neptunic. They said I should just go by lesbian, even though I like nonbinary people. I tried to end the conversation multiple times but they kept talking, I’m sick and tired of them doing this but I don’t wanna not be friends with them. And the subject was dropped. Should I just take “Neptunic” out of my bio?

you dont have to change who you are just because others dont like that term and want you to use another
you are valid no matter what terms you use
and no one has the right to tell you that your invalid/using the wrong label
Don't change your label unless you want to you don't have to do what others want you to. I can kinda see where they might have been confused though especially since lesbian has been updated to a new term non-men like non-men but that doesn't mean you have to identify as lesbian if you don't want to. I'm not really sure what Neptunic means but, still don't change yourself for anyone only change yourself for you. Stay safe ♡
