how to come out to my parents?

so, i go by cassidy online and i want to be called “silly” IRL because i can’t find a great gender neutral name for IRL yet. i’m non-binary and omni, but i only want to tell my parents i’m non-binary because omni is a confusing term. what should i do to make them suspect i’m non-binary? come out first or talk to them about it? (pronouns any/all but i prefer neopronouns)

asking them or mentioning about queer culture to see how open they are to it is the best first step, in my opinion. either way i think that first coming out as only nonbinary instead of as both nb and omni is a good idea in order to avoid too much confusion for them
