Hi, I’m currently being bullied for being transgender! At school

(Why did I use a freaking exclamation point this isn’t 🌸😍😊 time rn)

I live in a state that makes it illegal for teachers to help me because of what I’m being bullied for.
Most of the time, it’s not to my face, but I still hear it. Luckily, I’ve been able to be moved across the room from them. I walk into the room and one good example of something one person said is “she’s pretending to be a boy.”
Another purposefully deadnames me then giggles about it and try to get away with it because they’ve “known me for years” which I get in the first month or so, but i’ve been out since August, and I never talked to them. My teacher in that class wants to help me, but literally can’t because of the law.
Look, I’m a weird and cringey person, and I can be annoying. I had told them once I was trans and they act like it’s the most hilarious thing ever and that I don’t have feelings.

PLEASE HELP ME.

You could try telling your parents since teachers aren't allowed to help you, and maybe they can help.

First off, Its really unfortunate that you have to to go through that. You don't deserve that kind of treatment for being who you are, 2nd, maybe if your able to talk to your teacher after class just for like advice or comfort since you know that they want to help you.

What i did was straight up ignore them or give them a reaction they dont want. They want you to get mad or upset, not giving them that they may back off. I did this with some group of kids and they got bored fast. I know it may be hard if your not confrontational ( I certainly wasnt for a few years) but hope it helps!

I have:

  1. Asked for help from adults
  2. Ignored them
  3. Told them to stop
  4. Stayed as far away as possible
  5. Changed seats
  6. Talked to my parents
  7. (Haha 67)
