is that... what? when how.... I'm confused
What? How are you confused
they didn't say they called it a tantrum, the others did, why say there a dick while venting? Ima go read again rq..
Is English your native language, or are you dyslexic?
I’m the same person who was venting 🤦🏾♀️
i was just putting that out there for anyone who thinks meltdowns are tantrums. I was saying that meltdowns are NOT tantrums and that you (not targeted) should keep that in mind
As someone who is also autistic, completely justified. I would've genuinely beaten my sibling up if I was overwhelmed. My particular trigger for meltdowns is being overstimulated by multiple people trying to communicate with me, and once or twice when my sibling tried to grab me in my panic, I've just shoved them away. Your brother's being a dick by making fun of your suffering. Regardless of how old or young he is, it's still not ok and he should know it.
Thank you so much for this😭❤️
He’s like nineteen, he should know better
I don’t think he quite understands since he is neurotypical, but it’s fucking annoying.
Definitely. If you're petty enough (and I shouldn't endorse this but whatever), then you could misplace a few of his things, just to show him how annoying it is when people mess with your things.
Lolll
I’d probably get in trouble, but it’s a fun idea
He’s also taken a few of my things before without asking (he does this to my mum as well)
Undiagnosed here but I’m prolly somewhere on the spectrum. Things can get overwhelming really quickly and a meltdown is just a way of releasing those emotions. It’s totally valid and you shouldn’t feel bad about it. Personally I don’t experience meltdowns as much because I usually just isolate until I feel better but anyone who makes fun of you for releasing your emotions is a dick.
Yeah, it sucks though : (
I know, I also feel bad for isolating sometimes, but we all process emotions differently and there’s nothing wrong w that
Our brains literally work differently than neurotypicals
Js to be clear I hate self diagnosing but genuinely I’m 99% sure I’m on the spectrum I just need an expert to confirm it 😭
I think self diagnosing can be okay, just not if you’re making it quirky
And giving yourself random diagnoses😬
Yeah no I have genuine communication and sensory issues 💔 still idk ppl don’t think it’s valid and most of the time I don’t either
I hate it when people with wet hands touch me, and there’s a certain texture I cannot stand
I’m waiting for my results for autism but we’re 100% sure I am autistic, I have multiple signs of autism and neurodivergence runs in my family
I’ve done thorough research of what I could possibly have and I have some traits of adhd too but I don’t think I have it
My mum’s gonna get me tested for ADHD
I’ve cut a lot of foods out of my diet bcz I can’t handle their texture ngl
That’s good, good luck with the results lol
Lol thanks
Ohhh
I might have ARFID, but we’re not sure
I don’t think I do bcz it’s a general texture thing but I hope u get the diagnosis you need twin
