Is anything in this a sign of gayness?

So he is interested in a girl yet he acts like he isn't sometimes and then other times he's 100% into them. And today our group of friends went to an axe throwing place and me and him were playing alone. We were playing a board game and I said "I hate you" and he responded with "I love you" and this happened like 5 times. Then the day before he said "I'm starting to think I may be gay". But like we're the common male group that acts gay towards one another. And idk if he's joking or not.

i’m not sure… this is something he himself can really figure out. but from what i see, it seems his sexuality is pretty fluid. he could be abrosexual!
