I wanna ask people with bipolar out here if you guys can talk to me about your experiences with bipolar. I'm not that familiar with it and I kinda wanna know more. Currently I only asked a friend who has bipolar in my knowledge. And if anyone is comfortable to talk about it, it would be great!

I do suspect I might have it, I wouldnt self diagnosis at all, plus I don't know much like I said - if I'm over 60-70% sure and my mental health is getting way worse then I'd seek professional help and get proper diagnosis

I think my DMS are open but if you wanna talk to me about your experiences without wanting others to see or comment on it, please ask to DM me

My dad had it. He’d spend impulsively on scratchers, phones, cars, Microsoft office, a new computer etc.. Couldn’t sleep well. Would go to bed late and wake up early. Was hella hyper and very chatty/exicitable when manic. Had a sense of grandiosity. Depressive episodes were clinical. Generally lasting a week or two of lying in bed, quiet, irritable, wallowing. Completely opposite of his ‘normal’ state was. He’d be an empty shell of a soul and you couldn’t help but pity him. You were either his best friend or mortal sworn enemy at any given day or moment. Very hot and cold. Would throw temper tantrums over the littlest things. Would get snippy when stuff wouldn’t go his way. If you’re currently medicated for depression and anxiety but the prescription doesn’t seem to work ask your psychiatrist for mood stabilizers. Pops was on Caplyta. He claimed it helped. Psych meds don’t make everything magically perfect but they give you a little leverage to manage more efficiently.
