Seriously... I will have to work until I'm 65. And during that time I need to pay for housing, food, water, electricity, gas, heating/cooling, college debt, other loans, a car, etc. The government is already gonna take a third of my paycheck too. Why do I have to work my whole life to only be able to keep the scraps. What's even the point of it then?
#Whats the point of living when I have to work to pay the government until I die?

The point is what you want it to be, I know that’s like cheesy and cliche and overused, but really we can’t do much to change how life is structured on our own, we can work together to shift things in peaceful ways though. And you kinda need to be alive to do that. You can make good friends and I think that’s something that’s worth it in life. If you’re unsatisfied with how you’re life looks like it’s gonna be, you should work to change it, it may be hard, but that’s something to live for, to help yourself and others.
ive already set myself up for success. I take ap classes and already have college credit (Im a junior in hs). I just cant see the effort being worth the payout, if you know what i mean
Yeah, I get that, it feels like all the extra things people do in HS won’t translate into making enough money to support themselves. But you definitely sound very accomplished (not related to topic, just impressive accomplishments) . I don’t know what I could say to help with any of that, it’s definitely hard to see a point to a lot of the hard work people do.
I think that living to be a positive difference in the world is why I keep going a lot of the time, if I get really worried that I won’t be able to make it through or even into university, or that I won’t make enough money to support me and my gf in the future, I try to think about things I can do to help fix the problem. I can’t always do much, but there’s also things I can participate in that may be of benefit. This may not be very helpful or what you wanted and if it isn’t I’m sorry, but I just think that a point of living in this context is to fix the problems that we struggle with so the next generation, or even just us when we are older, don’t have to struggle as much.
Unfortunately it’s sorta just part of being an adult. It’s a reality I soon myself will have to face as well and that’s honestly the truth I’ve come to realize. We grow up supported by those around us, but those around us must work to be able to support us and to do that, they obviously need to support themselves. Once we’re adults, we control our life, but also we become responsible for our own survival.
