To start, earlier this summer, I was invited to be part of the National Honors Society program at my school. At that time I had done everything to set up to be able to do it, but once my AP scores came back in July, I was very discouraged. I barely even passed one exam, even though I had put in all my effort. When I think of NHS students, they typically get amazing grades and do super well on AP tests. That kind of stuff. So I guess I almost mentally blocked it. Then, the other day, I realized that I had missed the deadline for an interview and now I can't get in this year. I broke the news to my parents, and they were extremely upset. Now my mom is saying that she's not helping to pay for my college or my upcoming field trip to Disney (It's for orchestra, It's more about playing music than doing amusment park stuff). My parents said that there's no way that I can fix this. I'm just stuck and I don't know what to even do. How do I continue knowing that my parents are gonna be mad at me for a long time? (potentially years).

I experience pretty much the same thing as you, but I never use my own tips, however you can try them out. Perhaps it’ll work.
You could try saying how you feel, and that you’ve put in your efforts. But they may respond with a simple statement that they don’t care that you have tried, and say that they know you could’ve done better, but do know that this doesn’t mean they don’t love you. Of course your own family, people who bothered to make sure you’re healthy do care. Never think your family don’t care, even when their actions make you feel like they don’t.
They won’t stay mad at you for years. It’s just one small thing in life. It’s possible to achieve bigger, they’re just merely disappointed that this opportunity was something you weren’t able to choose.
I apologise if I’m rambling on and telling you things you already know.
You missed an opportunity, so what? There are many opportunities out there that you can grasp at in life. Continue to aim high. Your parents won’t be mad at you for long, even if they give threats like not paying for college. Try talking this out with them, and make sure they listen to you and put themselves in you shoes. They must’ve gone through the same things as you at least once in their life.
