Okay, I don't really have anywhere else to go as my friends are all in the same group and most of us are wrapped up in this.
I have a friend that's been lying about a lot of things for about as long as I've known them. Really serious and damaging things. So I'm finally talking to them on Tuesday, but I'm freaking out a bit. I have a couple other friends helping me out with this, but I've told all of them I'll take the blame for the talk if things get messy. I'll be texting them, so they won't know others are helping me keep a level head with this. I guess I'm not really looking for advice here. Just freaking out a bit. If anyone has ever done something similar I'd love to hear how it went!

Sorry, this isn't as serious as most of the other ones here. Feel free to ignore this to help others out instead!
lying is complex
you say it's serious and damaging so probably not a good friend
if the things your friend is talking about are all really serious you should confront them
