So my mom (and my whole family) is SUPER SUPER homophobic and religious (muslim). And i rly wanna come out to her but like, im so scared bc shes rly hate lgbtqia+ peoples, like one day my friend's sister told us that she were going to act in a movie. Everyone was so happy, until they realized that shes acting a lesbian girl crushing on another girl. Their reactions were so horrible like, my mom called my friend's mom and said "omg do you know what role will your daughter have in that movie?? Its so disgusting". The thing is, i know that if i come out, ill be surely kicked out of my house and maybe even worse 😭 But like, i've never hidden such a BIG secret from her, i always tell her everything. So it lowk annoys me :((

From what I have heard, to keep yourself safe, don't do it. If you don't have a place to go to then just keep your identity a secret. Then once you can move out, come out via text in group chat or smthing

i get where you are coming from, my whole family are muslim too and they are super homophobic. my main advice is to wait untill you move out, buy your own house and THEN tell em. they wont be able to do anything cause you will be an adult and you can report any harm that they give you to the police.

maybe in college live in a dorm+save up in college for a small apartment, and try to find roommates for the apartment? and accept help from ur family in terms of paying for college, and come out to them after getting an apartment?
