so I recently found out im spectrasexual and even my well educated friends didn’t know, if you don’t know it means I like people more based of the spectrum of identities and it’s confusing to explain to uneducated people and I want my family to understand me

Yeah I had to look that up as well. I'm aegosexual and when I came out to my mom I had to explain asexuality to her, because she thought I was talking about asexual reproduction lol, and I basically gave a general description of what aegosexuality is, or at least the parts I most identify with. I didn't actually say the specific name though.
