gonna be real honest, it is not a good idea to exercise while binding. its not smart or safe to exercise with a binder on. you can try wearing a tight sports bra but what youre doing right now isnt good. i dont know how to help you get over your insecurity but reading that you were wearing a binder to exercise made me anxious for your health.

I’m also genderfluid and I’ve found that most people don’t really stare at your chest or clock it as not pecs till its pretty obvious. A lot of dudes have larger chests and despite the fact I have about an A cup with my binder and it shows through my shirt, I’m still clocked as a dude or neither gender

#

I promise you they’re not staring and if it’s too hot for a binder and your exercising, I’d recommend trying trans tape to bind instead since that can sometimes get you a better bind, it’s better for your ribs and lungs and it’s safe to exercise in IF you use it correctly

#

If your not sure about buying trans tape since it’s pretty expensive, buy some cheap KT tape from a grocery store in the sports aisle/first aid or medical supplies aisle, it’s mostly same thing but cheaper, more accessible, smaller and the adhesive isn’t as good, but good for starting out and figuring out how to use trans or KT tape

snek, youve offered much better advice than i did, im glad someone had more/better suggestions than myself. to add to that also, if you decide to go the tape route, you can find tutorials of how to do it best online, i think i used instructions from gc2b last time but that was several years ago. and also there is absolutely no need to feel insecure about your chest. most people are too focused on their own lives to think about what someone else is doing. theyre not looking at you and certainly not thinking you look weird.

Oddity, thx for the compliment. Adding onto the very good advice give that you should take should you decide to wear KT tape or trans tape, there are decent instructions on the actual trans tape website, but I’d recommend using social media, I used TikTok, for advice on how to set it up, bind and take it off safely. Your first attempts will look janky and feel a bit dysphoric so I’d recommend giving it a few practice runs within your room before going out if it’s like that for you too and just to get the hang of it. I took me 5 tries to get it to look right the first time so don’t be discouraged by a few bad ones. If you want advice for binding with KT tape or trans tape, I’m happy to help

#

Also since you have been exercising with a binder on, please try doing some back exercises online made for posture and other stuff to minimize the damage binders can do, and try to do this daily before you put on the binder

#

And please remember, the world isn’t staring at you, it’s going about its day just like you. If your chest sticks out a bit while wearing a hoodie or shirt like mine does, the world won’t stare. You will still pass with a slightly larger chest which a lot of dudes who work out have

Kinesthesiolopgy tape, also known as KT tape, usually used for joint pain but if properly used, can be used to bind
