#How do I come out to my best friends?

So, I've been identifying as bisexual for a while now. My family knows (They are supportive) but my friends don't know. I'm in high school and these kids have been friends with me since 1st grade. I was going to come out to them but heard them making homophobic jokes. I don't know if they're actually homophobic or not. Now, I want to come out to them so I don't feel closeted, but I don't want to in fear that they won't be my friends anymore. What should I do?

If they would hate you suddenly after all this time then they are awful friends and you deserve better
