I need to know what is the exact definition of sexual attraction to you, since I have trouble categorizing all the feelings.
When you're sexually (not romantically) attracted to someone, does it mean:

  • you find them sexy
  • you want to cuddle them
  • you want to kiss them
  • you want to be closer to them (become their friend or more)
  • you want to have sex with them
  • you imagine yourself doing any of the above
  • etc.
Please help me sort out which of these points are romantic attraction and which are sexual attraction MushyShy

Of course when I google the question I find asexual resources, but I already know what asexual is so that doesn't help at all 😅 I need words on the concept of "sexual attraction", these resources never go into the details I need.

I think sexual attraction to someone means that you are interested in physical intimacy with a person. For example you want to have sex with them, touch their body because it makes you feel good/turned on. As for kissing I‘m actually not sure if it counts as a sexual action. I think it could count as such, but could also be seen as a romantic action. If you feel like cuddling a person, I‘d say that‘s not necessarily a sexual action, more a romantic one.
So, as for your list:

  • Yes, you find them sexy
  • Yes, you might want to cuddle them but also do more than that
  • Yes, you want to kiss them
  • No, not just that, it‘s more about the physical want
  • Yes, you want to have sex with them
  • Yes, any of the above, but usually more than just cuddling or be closer
That‘s how I would describe it based on my own experience of it (I‘m also still figuring out sexual and romantic attraction) but other people may experience it differently. The physical/intimate aspects should be the same tho.
