So, I came out to my parents about questioning my gender the other day! I mentioned wanting a binder and my dad asked some questions. My mom confused me a little bit, but she said not to do a binder and walked away. She came back and clarified to try for a compression sports bra bc binders can be harmful (she didn’t voice this at first and it made me a little confused bc she’s very supportive).
My dad is offering to help me look for the compression things and while he did say that I’d always be me, I’d always be Caitlyn inside, but however I front, no matter what name I choose, I’ll always be their little kid. He said he was proud that I was comfortable enough to come to them and ask them questions and tell them these kinds of things.
I love my parents very much.
