I was having a "debate" about politics (gotta watch the mods with this one), and my friend said I have split personality disorder because I was pretty much talking about two different things at the same time that both conflicted what they said, and after about 5 minutes he said I was like two different people and said I got split personality disorder
Not sure I used this right, it's a mental disorder and I want to know if it's possible I do

I can't send proof, I'd almost instantly get stopped because it was in the middle of a political discussion

From what I know, it’s a disorder where you have two differing side to every opinion you have. But I could be wrong, sorry if I’m not much help.

i don't know too much about it, but this isn't right

from my limited understanding (someone who knows more can come and correct me on anything if i'm wrong) "split personality disorder" is kind of an outdated/less used term, and now we usually call it Dissociative Identity Disorder (or DID)
and it's a mental health condition where (usually due to severe childhood trauma at a young age) a person has 2 or more separate identities (called alters)
and each alter might have completely different behaviours, thought patterns, expressions, memories etc
