I wouldn’t worry about your grandpa being trans-/homophobic he’s from another generation, my grandma often says the n-word, but when your mom is the same that’s another thing, maybe you can give some more context about that situation.

+1 to the ā€œanother generationā€ part. Unfortunately for a lot of people those were the beliefs most people had during their time.

Also, I used to be homophobic and transphobic too. The important part is that you learned that those beliefs are incorrect (and changed your mindset) :)
