Seeing stupid people who have terrible opinions about something they don’t know anything about.

so I’m on social media A LOT which isn’t a surprise because well I’m a teenager but anyway. A lot of times I see things that piss me off like religion, politics and etc.
however one of the things I CAN NOT STAND OUT OF FUCKEN EVERY THING ANYTIME I SEE IT.
Is when people says something along the lines of “CPS is children traffickers.” Or something along those lines tbh.
I say this with YEARS of experience of being in the foster care system.
No Samantha they couldn’t take your kids for no reason.
If you have a serious enough claim against you THEY HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT.
Dont get me wrong the system isn’t 100% perfect because trust me I’ve seen lost of cases that it hasn’t been.

However it SAVES kids lives. It saved MY LIFE.
I was medically neglected growing up and what landed me in the foster care system was my biological mother wasn’t feeding me as a baby. I was UNDER my birth weight at 6 weeks old. Mind you I only weighed 6 pounds and 4 ounces at my birth.
I wasn’t getting feed like I was supposed to because one my bio mother was ||drugging me to sleep|| and two ||was getting high herself||

If whoever called CPS on us didn’t call or CPS never took the claim seriously, I would be dead. I WOULD BE SO FUCKEN DEAD RN.

And even then I went to my bio grandma and a BUNCH of shit happened that shouldn’t have so CPS took me again. I was technically in the system for 12 years before I got adopted.

Don’t get me wrong after I got adopted my asshole neighbors kept sending in false reports against us every 6 months for about like 4/5 years. Which was TERRIFYING and also traumatic.

Again the CPS system isn’t perfect because they are understaffed and underfunded a lot of the time. However when you take into account how many lives it saves in the long run, it outweighs (ish) what the people who think they are traffickers.
And when then, they don’t make good arguments about their claim at all. They are just mad just because they are under an investigation.

They saved my life too! I grew up with a ||pedo|| who doesn't know what no means, and I'd probably be dead rn if it wasn't for them. CPS are not traffickers, they are lifesavers

And though they may not be perfect, nobody is!!

Literally I would most definitely be dead or be ||addicted to drugs or alcohol|| because of the shit I deal with.

It isn’t perfect but no service ever is

“Love” isn’t enough to convince DCS that you are a safe space for your kids like the ruby and franky case

They thought what they were doing was the best for their kids and they “loved” them but they were ||torturing|| the kids and a bunch of other things that shouldn’t have happened

They won’t tho. Because their heads are shoved SO FAR up their own ass and their own experience but that is just one case.
There were MULTIPLE times where DCS should’ve removed me from my grandma but it didn’t happen which would’ve saved me from a lot of shit.

However I understand why they didn’t.
