I am non binary but my mom and dad don’t know and they are homophobic and idk what to do cuz if I tell them they are going to send me to a mental asylum

Why would they do that if they’re homophobic? I might not be keeping up with the times, but I wouldn’t think homophobia would apply to gender identity.

Definitely keep yourself safe first. And be fully separated in terms of housing; I live with my aunt and uncle rn who are also phobic so I can’t tell my parents anything about this stuff lest they out me to them as well
