Hi my name is Forrest, so I’ll just get straight to the point I’m trans and non binary but I have no idea how to come out, my parents are supportive of the LGBTQ and I’m currently out as lesbian, I’m in competitive swimming and I live in a really small Christian and conservative town so coming out as trans might put me in physical danger, I’ve disused a name change with my parents before because I have a very feminine French name and would like to change it to Forrest but that’s not really happening. Any coming out tips would be appreciated thank you.

So first if you say your parents are very supportive you should come out to them and answer all of their questions but if you say coming out inside your town would put you in danger you shouldn’t speak about it there

Thank you, the only problem is as I mentioned I’m in competitive swimming and coming out to my parents would take me out of swimming which is a sport I’ve been doing for almost 6 years and love very much. Your reply is greatly appreciated though thank you!
