I’m gay (mlm) and I don’t really know how to bring up the topic of LGBTQ to my parents. I’ve thought about texting them or writing a letter telling them that I’m gay. What do I doooo?!! 😖

Some ideas you could do are, you could tell your parents a friend just came out to them(it can be a lie ) and see how they react, if they react positively I think you could be good, but if they don’t react well I would wait until your out of the house (if your still at home). When/if you are ready to tell them make sure you all are in a calm mood and tell them your sexuality and what that mean to you or you could tell one of them or someone else in your family or even a friend who you think would react positively to give you a confidence boost and help you tell the rest of your friends and even if you want them to be with you when you come out, I wish you luck 🍀

You should really try to find some way to figure out their views on LGBTQ+ first. You could bring up something about a local pride event, or new LGBTQ+ related law enacted or proposed in your area, or something else like that. ALWAYS prioritize your safety and do not come out to them if they react negatively to any LGBTQ+ related topics
