QPR help

I'm Aromantic and I kinda want to explore being in a qpr with someone but i don't really know what to do with that. Is there some sort of first step like how in many (not all) romantic relationships one person asks the other person out on a date? I want to kinda do that but idk how and idk how to explain to the person i'm asking without wanting a romantic relationship. someone please help me, i'm so confused and i don't really know what to do.

I think making sure they know what a qpr is then asking them "do you want to be in a qpr with me?". I was in a qpr once and thats basically how it happened
