I don’t know how much longer I can exist knowing I am part of a species which can cause such harm onto itself. I help one person and ten more pop up. How can I accept being human when we are the one species that can do such harm, hold each other in such contempt, take fucking joy in this suffering. I just don’t know how much longer I can suffer the curse of being human.

I reccomend learning more about the animal kingdom. The cat family are especially on par with us in terms of the capacity to take joy in the suffering of others.
But try and remember, yeah, humanity contains all these bad people right now, but Mr. Rogers, Ms. Rachel, Terry Crews, Steve Irwin, and Bob Ross are/were all human too. The opposite exists too, for every asshole there's someone truly kind and caring, we don't learn all of their names as easily because news of outrage travels faster than words of kindness.
