How do people find a name they like? Especially as a genderfluid being that's very difficult for me. I want something that's enby, masc and fem at the same time. I know any name can be what i wish. But i want a name i can relate to, properly.
I've got literally list of names because I can't decide. Leilani. Mint/Minty. Karma. Now kinda considering Nebula.
But none of those hit me like as a way that screams to me "i want THAT as a name"

Still not so easy for me
I need a name with a meaning i can connect on deeper level. I generally need a name that fits all my gender possibilities etc. Name that makes me stare at it for s moment before embracing it to be mine

I always associated myself with a object of some kind. It was a TeaCup but then its a Basil Plant, and I thought "hey its a nice name." And so my name is Basil. My former name was Imah (which is random and a misspelling but i found it quite nice.)

I do usually have like a theme. Which tends to be nature or astronomical stuff. Etc. Like, big, non human controlled things
Which is why I've landed for Nebula this time

Nebula sounds astral which is what i like. Makes me thing of orange, red and yellow etc. Might not need as much styling of profile

I have whole Pinterest board for names. I scroll through them and just never connect. I need the connection to my name. I don't care about the language tbh. Just, want the connection to the name. Ofc I'd like to be able to say my own name, but yk, side quest

I found a decent name I think. I have chosen “Hilda”. Because of its German/Scandinavian-ish sounding. But also because when I was younger I have read a book whom’s protagonist had this name. And also, try to pick names that weren’t “polluted”. By this, I mean any name that another person you know/knew already has. It gives it a certain connotation (either positive or negative, but it feels like this person has an influence on me or so). That’s why Hilda was perfect. Nobody had this name. And it’s an amazing one btw, no matter what people say.

My irl nickname came from a prank. I was meeting a family friend for the first time, and my sister and I both pretended my name was [name]. I liked it so much, it became my actual name.
As for name reccomendations, I usually like gemstones as names. Most of my OCs have gemstone names. They’re also pretty neutral, so they could probably work with any pronouns.

Hmm… I just remembered something. I used once the name “Hildegard Lebedev” long ago on a roleplay server (about a pan-Eurasian socialist regime with German dominant culture tho 90% of the territory corresponded to IRL USSR.)
